My Amazing Fitness Transformation! (or not)

Remember a few weeks ago when I told you all I was about to do that circuit training workout? And how I was going to start out slowly and work my way up? I should be pretty well on my way to better health at this point, huh? Yeah, well, about that... or as they say on the interwebz, omg lolz!

I did great for a few days, but hurt myself off the bat. What JNL meant by "Busy Moms" circuit, was "busy moms who are already in shape" not real "busy moms" who haven't had the chance to do a jump squat since High School.

After that, a bunch of stuff came up that took precedence, Wolfman decided he wasn't going to cooperate and the house got messy. Alas, there it all went - to hell, of course, where it always goes. In a moment of serendipity, my brain started spinning. I had a nice dose of manic and depressive hormones and ended up eating a bunch of chocolate things and bacon-y things, and drinking a bit too much every night to relax.

In short, I'm up four pounds and I have a headache.

I guess I can't carve out time. I can't control my life, my kids or my occasional chemical imbalances. So I must focus on the things I can control. For starters, I will eat better. Next, I will drop that second cup of coffee in the afternoon. And last, all I have time for is a ten-minute pocket here and there for a quick weight circuit, so that will have to suffice. This is all I can do at the moment without resorting to failure and self-loathing, and I have to accept that.

In a little over a month, school starts up again and everything will change. I'll just consider myself lucky that my natural lazy physique isn't too shabby and wait for my time. Patience, it will come.

Just like everything, there isn't always time, and I find that the things you want to do for yourself, often suffer or take a backseat.
Just think, when you're 50, you'll have time. :-)

I'll have all the time in the world, when I'm dead.
